North Darfur governor: Rapid Support Forces stands at forefront in national security

North Darfur Governor Nimir Mohammed Abd El-Rahman has inspected the Rapid Support Forces Peace Shield Division in the Kotum Locality.
Nimir was briefed on the state’s security situation and praised the RSF’s efforts to maintain peace and stability, and also to assist with voluntary returns.
“The Rapid Support Forces has always been in the forefront in terms of protecting the well-being of local communities (across Sudan),” he said.
El-Rahman stressed the importance of promoting the authority of the state and rule of law, while lauding the high level of coordination and harmony between the state security forces.
Meanwhile, RSF Peace Shield Division Commander, General Al-Nour Ahmed Adam welcomed the visit, stressing that the RSF will continue to safeguard the people throughout Darfur.
