Transitional Sovereignty Council VP receives South Sudanese counterpart

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has met in Juba with his South Sudanese counterpart Alsayed Hussein Abd Al-Bagi Acol.

The meeting was attended by Acting Defense Minister, General Yasin Ibrahim, Sudanese Ambassador to South Sudan Jamal Malik and members of the technical committee.

The vice presidents discussed the implementation of security arrangements under the Revitalized Peace Agreement in light of Sudan’s proposed suggestions.

Dagalo reiterated his confidence that all parties are singularly focused on implementing the agreement and ensuring peace, security and stability in the country.

He stressed that stability in South Sudan is vital for ensuring peace throughout the entire region.
