Residents of Al-Manasir village in River Nile State have received 5,000 vials of anti-scorpion serum as part of an initiative proposed by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
Families who lost loved ones due to scorpion bites also received financial support from the vice president.
Dagalo launched the initiative after receiving calls of distress from villagers, who said many residents have died after being bitten by scorpions.
Meanwhile, Marwi Locality Executive Director, Mohammed Al-Tahir praised Dagalo’s vital role in supporting the local community.
Local residents also thanked the vice president for responding to their call for help.
