Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has departed this morning for the South Sudanese capital of Juba on an official visit to monitor the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
Dagalo was accompanied by Acting Defense Minister, General Yasin Ibrahim and Acting Oil Minister Mohammed Abd Allah Mahmoud, as well as members of the technical committee on security arrangements for overseeing the peace agreement.
The vice president was seen off at Khartoum Airport by Transitional Sovereignty Council Secretary General, General Mohammed Al-Gali Ali Yousif and Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Nadir Al-Obaid.
The visit by the vice president and his delegation is a final step toward bringing to a conclusion the security arrangement protocols under the peace agreement.
Last week, the Sudanese government received a South Sudanese delegation chaired by Presidential Advisor Tut Galwak.
Galwak brought proposals regarding the peace agreement to the monitoring committee, which is chaired by Dagalo, for review and consideration.
