Transitional Sovereignty Council VP chairs latest South Sudan peace deal committee meeting

The Monitoring Committee for the Implementation of the Peace Agreement in South Sudan, which is chaired by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, held a meeting on Tues., March 29, in Khartoum.
The meeting was attended by Acting Defense Minister, General Yasin Ibrahim, a delegation from South Sudan chaired by Presidential Advisor Tot Golwak, Prime Minister Martin Elia and Foreign Minister Mayik Ayii Deng.
The meeting addressed South Sudanese proposals regarding security arrangements and security forces reforms.
A number of beneficial proposals and strategies were made at the meeting, which will be presented to additional parties and further honed to ensure that all challenges are resolved.
