General Sultan of the Dar Masalit Tribe, Sultan Saad Abd El Rahman Bahar din has praised the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) efforts to return IDPs to their camps in West Darfur.
The RSF continues to provide support to the IDP camps that were opened upon his initiative, Saad said.
He made the statement during RSF Commander for West Darfur, Brigadier Alam din Al-Fahal Hamad’s visit to inspect the Krinding Camp.
Saad noted that the RSF has been extremely supportive, working with the local population and maintaining security in the region.
Saad also expressed his thanks to Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo for his support to rehabilitate the country and its economy. He highlighted the efforts of RSF commanders to strengthen the social fabric in Sudan and resolve tribal conflicts.
Meanwhile, Hamad underscored that the RSF is prepared to do everything within its ability to ensure that IDPs are able to voluntarily return to camps, should they choose to do so.
