Transitional Sovereignty Council VP donates five new vehicles to Railways Authority

Five new vehicles have been donated to the Sudanese Railways Authorities to streamline its activities.

The donation was initiated by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

Director General of the Railways Authority, Engineer Waleed Mahmoud Ahmed thanked the vice president for his continuous support to the country, adding that the vehicles will be sent to the five regions with operating railways – Babanosa West, Kosti, Central Khartoum, Atbara and Port Sudan.

The vehicles will help reduce accidents and solve logistical issues in each region, Ahmed said.

Meanwhile, Representative of the Rapid Support Forces Mohammed Ahmed Oar Nasir said the Railways Authority is a strategic institution that plays a vital role in the economy. He underscored the need for the country's railways to continue operating successfully to further bolster the Sudanese economy.
