The RSF liberates the strategic city of Bara in North Darfur

Our forces have continued to consolidate their field victories and, today, Monday, achieved a new and significant victory by liberating the strategically important town of Bara in North Kordofan State.

This decisive achievement comes within the framework of the carefully planned military operations being carried out by our forces, aimed at expanding the scope of operational manoeuvres and paving the way for further advances toward the enemy’s remaining strongholds and the bases of its terrorist militias.

Today, the courageous RSF soldiers delivered a crushing defeat to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) that operates under the terrorist Islamic Movement and its mercenaries, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. More than 500 killed, including several officers, among them members of the terrorist Al-Bara bin Malik militia. Our forces also seized 45 fully equipped combat vehicles and destroyed several others, in addition to capturing large quantities of weapons and military equipment. Dozens of mercenaries from the terrorist SAF fled, as our forces continue to pursue their defeated remnants to the outskirts of El Obeid.

We reiterate our forces will continue their fight to liberate the entire homeland from the terrorist Islamic Movement and restore justice for the Sudanese people, who have endured decades of injustice, marginalisation and prolonged wars since the fateful coup carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1989.
