The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) categorically deny the false allegations circulated by media outlets affiliated with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), which operates under the so-called Islamic Movement terrorist organization, regarding the alleged death of civilians as a result of air or artillery strikes carried out by our forces targeting a shelter for displaced persons in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur State.
These allegations are entirely baseless and come within the context of a systematic media misinformation campaign aimed at covering up the defeats suffered by the terrorist SAF and its mercenary allies on the battlefield. We affirm that the allegations disseminated by the affiliates of the security apparatus of the terrorist regime, under the name of “El Fasher Resistance Committees,” along with other similar bodies, are mere fabrications devoid of any truth and are contradicted by the facts and testimonies of thousands of civilians who left the city after our forces secured their safe passage and provided them with temporary shelters to protect their lives.
The RSF calls upon local and international media outlets to commit to accuracy and verify the credibility of their sources before disseminating such allegations.
We reiterate our firm commitment to the rules of engagement that prioritize the safety of civilians and uphold respect for human rights. These misleading media campaigns will not deter us from pursuing our legitimate mission to combat terrorism and complete the mission of establishing a Sudan where justice, equality, and good governance prevail.
