The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) warn of an extremely dangerous racist plan, orchestrated by the notorious Islamic Movement and its terrorist Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The plan aims at displacing the Sudanese citizens originating from marginalized areas as part of a systematic campaign to reshape the demographic fabric of the country along ethnic and regional lines.
Under the pretext of removing the so-called informal housing, the de facto authorities in Khartoum State have launched out a systematic, discriminatory housing demolitions in AlKhairat area of East Nile locality. The houses were formally built according to the rules in Al-Fateh Residential Area. However, under the direct supervision of the illegitimate Governor of the so called State Authority, the residential plots were expropriated from their rightful owners to be granted to individuals affiliated with the coup authority. It is a blatant violation of justice and a clear exploitation of state machinery for the benefit of certain groups of individuals.
Furthermore, the so-called Land Protection Authority of the racist regime has imposed security measures on the confiscated residential plots, in a scene that clearly reveals a long-term plan for organized forced displacement, targeting the inhabitants of these areas solely because they come from specific regions and social backgrounds.
In the same vein of the racist approach, the same authorities repeat the scenario in Al-Izba neighbourhood in Khartoum North (Bahri) locality. This new campaign adds to their dark record of targeting marginalized Sudanese communities.
The burning of the residential areas (kanabi) and the killing of their inhabitants in Al-Gezira State, in well documented massacres, clearly exposes the racist dimension of this plan, which seeks to depopulate these areas of their long-term inhabitants, despite their decades of residence there amid social coexistence and civil peace. These campaigns are part and parcel of the exclusionary policies that have begun since the Islamic Movement’s ill-fated coup in 1989.
These practices are nothing but desperate attempts to ignite a full scale civil war, threatening to push the country toward an open-ended catastrophe and exposing a dangerous disregard for the unity and integrity of Sudan. It is an opportunistic context aimed at advancing corrupt political agenda based on degrading the overwhelming majority of the country’s citizens.
While strongly condemn these racist policies, we also reaffirm the right of all Sudanese to equal citizenship without discrimination across the entire country. This is a principle we uphold in our dealings with all people, regardless of their origins or regional affiliations.
In this context, we reject the racist Islamic Movement’s attempts to distribute citizenship deeds according to its whim. The question we clearly put it to those behind these policies: How is it that you failed to discover the existence of these groups of citizens until now after more than three decades of your unjust rule?
We strongly warn against the consequences of this racial strife, as it opens the door to civil wars from which no one will be spared. We firmly believe that the only path to saving Sudan and its people from this fate lies in uprooting this gang and terminate their projects that threaten the unity and future of the country.
