The RSF accuses the Sudanese Armed Forces of shelling innocent civilians at Sabrin Market in Omdurman.

MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) assert that they did not target any populated areas in Omdurman and deny any involvement in the shelling of Sabrin Market. RSF further clarify that all artillery shillings at Al-Thorat neighborhood are fired from military platforms operated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied militias, as a means to cover up their crimes.
Our forces reaffirm that they are totally not involved in the indiscriminate shelling targeting civilians in Omdurman. RSF emphasise that such attacks are part of a deliberate tactic by the SAF militias and the remnants of the former regime, particularly Al-Bara Battalions to conceal the atrocities they have committed in Um Ruwaba, North  of Bahri, and previously in Wad Madani, Al-Suki, and Al-Dinder.
Our forces call upon the citizens of Omdurman and other areas to remain alert and vigilant  to counter the plots of terrorist groups. We also urge human rights organisations to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting civilians from the systematic atrocities being carried out in many areas by direct orders issued by the criminal Al-Burhan.
