TASIS Forces condemn Christmas massacre in ‘Bayam Geld’ in South Kordofan

In continuation of its extremist approach, the aircraft of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army deliberately bombed, today Friday, a civilian gathering of Christian communities in the area of (Bayam Geld) in South Kordofan, while citizens were celebrating Christmas. This treacherous, selective attack resulted in the killing of 12 people and the injury of 19 others, most of whom were women and children.

The systematic targeting of civilians during Christmas celebrations confirms to the world that our country is facing organized terrorism and extremist groups whose danger to the social fabric and to the Sudanese people’s right to freedom of religion and belief we have warned against for three decades.

We strongly condemn the practices of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army against the Christian community, which alongside other religions in our country forms a unique fabric of diversity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, disturbed only by the behavior of religious fanaticism and extremism led by the criminal Muslim Brotherhood army.

We once again call on the international community to condemn these heinous crimes against our people. Designating the Muslim Brotherhood army as a terrorist organization is not sufficient; all legitimate means must be put together to combat terrorism and extremism in our country.

We affirm our people and the world that we will continue to combat terrorism and eradicate extremist groups from our country by establishing a civil, secular state in accordance with the principles of the Sudan Constitution of 2025, which guarantees freedom, justice, and equality for all citizens.
