The RSF shoots down a Turkish-made Akıncı drone over Babanousa, West Kordofan.

MEDIA STATEMENT 

Earlier this Wednesday dawn, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully shot down a Turkish-made Akıncı drone over the Babanousa area in West Kordofan State.

The downing of the Akıncı drone today and before that, the Ilyushin aircraft over the skies of Babanousa reaffirms that our forces are fully prepared to confront any form of aerial aggression or infiltration attempts carried out by the terrorist Islamic Movement militia and its allies. These groups continue to kill and terrorize innocent civilians and destroy vital infrastructure in a desperate attempt to destabilize the regions of Kordofan and Darfur.

Our forces unequivocally assert that the attempts of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) operating under the so-called Islamic Movement and their supporters constitute nothing and they will be shattered by the strength and resolve of our forces who are steadfastly and advancing to crush the terrorist army’s fortifications, end this war for the benefit of our people, and rebuild Sudan on new, just foundations that eliminate injustice and marginalization for all Sudanese.
