1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council Urges Armed Groups to Expedite Signature of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement

1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo called on the armed groups to expedite signing the  comprehensive peace agreement, adding that the change that occurred was not available before and it is now possible for the armed groups to come to Khartoum and to out of it safely.
This came during his addressing number of South Sudan State leaders, armed groups today (Wednesday) in response to an invitation of Abyei group of businessmen in honour of Deputy President of South Sudan State, Hussain Abdul Bagi, Chief of mediation, Tut Galwak, members of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Sham Addeen Kabashi and Mohammed Al-Hassan Al-Taayshi besides leading figures from Forces of Freedom and Change.
Daglo pointed out that the peace process will overwhelm all the country because all the parties have the desire to go ahead for the sake of achieving peace.
“Without peace Sudan will not be able to move forward, and because of that the government opened all the humanitarian corridors without preconditions in order to create conducive environment” Daglo said.
For his part, Tut Galwak said that peace has become a reality and what is remaining of discussions will not be an obstacle to achieve peace, adding that the national security of South Sudan could be achieved when Sudan is stable and secured, pointing out that what gathers the people of the two countries is more than what separates them.
