Daglo Witnesses MoU Signature between the Sudanese Commercial Chambers Union and Russian Businesses Council

Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has witnessed, at Moscow, the Russian Capital city, the signature of a MoU between the Sudanese Commercial Chambers Union and Russian Businesses Council in the presence of Abu Bakr Omer Al-Bushra, Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohamed Abdallah Mahmoud, Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abdallah, Acting Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Nadir Yusuf, and Chairman of the Commercials Chambers Union, Nadir Al-Hilali, and the Charge de’affaires of the Sudanese embassy in Moscow, Ambassador, Onour Ahmed Onour.

The Chairman of the Sudanese Commercial Chamber Union, Nadir Al-Hilali signed on behalf of the Sudanese side, while the member of the Russian Businesses Council, Victor Jim dai.

Number of the Sudanese Businessmen and Russian companies expressed intention to enter into investments in Sudan, especially in seeds, livestock, main infrastructure, gas and electricity.

Daglo expressed appreciation of the Sudanese government to Russia for removing the arrears of its sovereign debts on Sudan during last year, welcoming the seventh Sudanese/Russian ministerial meeting on the first half of this year, affirming providing special care towards the Russian investments in Sudan, pointing out to the importance of activating the commercial relations  between the two countries.

On his part, Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim affirmed keenness to remove any obstacles that hinder the flow of Russian investments in Sudan, pointing out to the unlimited potentials in Sudan besides its representing the gate of Africa, hinting to the existence of more than 200 million fertile lands. He pointed to the livestock and mining which could be invested on.

Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Dr.Abu Bakr Omer Al-Bushra affirmed the need of Sudan to modern irrigation systems through utilizing the Russian experience, calling for cooperation in all the joint projects.

Oil and Gas Minister, Hamad Abdallah called for partnerships with the Russian side on energy to benefit from the Russian technology.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Sudanese Commercial Chambers Union stressed on the importance of coordination between the two sides to ease the activities of the Russian companies in Sudan, pointing out that the visit will open the door for the  businesses and companies in both countries for more cooerpation.
