VP Receives AU Commission Delegation

Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1^st lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan daglo has received the African Union Commission delegation led by it chief Mousa Fakki, in the presence of the commissioner of AU political, peace and security commission, the director of Head of the UA Commission Chamber, Mohammed El-Hassan uld libat, Ambassador Mohammed Baleish the special representative of the AU in Sudan, besides Ambassador Hassan Abul Slam Omer the director of African Affairs in the Foreign Ministry.

For his part, the VP welcomed the delegation, lauding the great role of the AU in dealing with the problems facing the African countries.

He briefed the visiting delegation on the recent developments in the country in concentration on the political crisis, announcing their welcoming to any role from the AU to narrow the gap of the viewpoints amid the Sudanese parties, stressing on the importance of an inclusive  dialogue as an approach to resolve the current disputes, pointing out tl their commitment towards  the democratic transformation and conducing the elections in the country by the end of the transitional period.

For his part, the Chief of the AU Commission pointed to the positive role of the AU to reconcile between the Sudanese parties in 2019, affirming that their visit aims at seeing on he ground the situations and listening to all the Sudanese parties.

He disclosed that they did not come with beforehand solutions to the Sudanese crisis, pointing out that after their return their might be some proposals that contribute in resolving the crisis.
