1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council Directs Boosting Security and Peaceful Coexistence in Abyei

1^st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1^st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo reviewed today – Monday – the security and developmental situation in Abyei area.

The 1^st Vice President directed, while receiving today the Chairman of Sudanese side of Abyei Joint Oversight Committee (AJOC) Maj. Gen. Izzeldin Osman Mohammed Al-Sheikh, giving more attention to the developmental issues besides boosting security, stability and lying the foundation for peaceful coexistence in the area.

For his part, AJOC Chairman said in press statements that he discussed with the 1^st Vice President the security and developmental issues, adding that  Abyei citizens will witness actual development according to national strategy in order to achieve stability to the people and the area.
