FVP Stresses on the Importance of UNAMID Properties Submission in Favour of Darfur People

FVP of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1^st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has met today (Wednesday)  a delegation from the UN chaired by the Undersecretary of the UNSG for field support, Atol Kari where the FVP stressed on the importance of UNAMID properties submission in favour of Darfur people.

The FVP welcomed the UN delegation hailing the role of the international organization in supporting the transitional government, pointing out to the great efforts of the UN in this regard.

Daglo valued high the great efforts of the UNAMID in maintaining peace and stability in Sudan and in Darfur in particular, affirming that he reviewed the arrangements of the UNAMID exit.

For his part the UN official said that the FVP was satisfied on the progress in the joint efforts between Sudan and the UN especially in regard to the timetable of pulling out of the military and police components of UNAMID.

He added that the UNAMID started its exit process, hoping that they accomplish the mission on time.

The UN official congratulated the FVP for achieving Juba Peace Agreement, affirming the UN economic and social continuous funding to repatriate the IDPs to their home villages.
