Security Boosting Battalion in South Darfur announced its kick-off to start the agricultural season protection in South Darfur especially in South/West Jebel Marra, Kas and Shataya localities.
The step comes within the directives of the RSF Commander in Chief, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo in protecting the citizens and their properties.
The battalion launched its patrolling along the targeted areas and the areas of voluntary repatriations where the farmers will resume their activities.
The commander of the battalion, Lt. Col. Al-Nour Al-Douma affirmed the forces are ready to protect the agricultural season in the targeted areas, adding that they are working in preventing any tensions between the nomads and the farmers in order to make the agricultural season a success.
The RSF battalion contributed in removing the obstacles to ease the movement of the nomads and the citizens in those areas, affirming that the situations had returned to normality in those areas and that is evidenced by the flow of the voluntary repatriation of the IDPs to their home villages.
