FVP Reviews Sudan and S. Sudan Borders Negotiations

First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council , 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo reviewed the negotiations of the joint borders commission between Sudan and S.  which was in continuous meetings since last Sunday.
The Chief of the Commission, Muaz Tango said that the joint commission briefed the FVP on the track of the joint negotiations over the description and planning of the borders between the two countries.
Tango added in press statements after the meeting with the FVP that the two sides had achieved considerable progress in its meetings, pointing out to the exchange of views on the documents of each side on the description of January 1956 borders, affirming that the joint commission assured the FVP that the meeting are going on in harmony to finish with this dossier  as soon as possible.
He added that the commission is working in evaluating the presented documents from both sides, affirming that the FVP advised the commission to play an effective role in easing opening the borders corridors to allow for trade  and social exchange.
For his part, S. Sudan Minister of Information and member of the commission, Michel Makwi said that they briefed the FVP on the progress achieved in applying the agreement and the process of South Sudan Peace agreement implementation.
He added that the FVP expressed satisfaction on the progress achieved, urging both sides to follow up the issue to enable the citizens living on the bordering zones to live peacefully.
Makwi described the meeting as fruitful, wishing that they reach agreement on all the outstanding issues as soon as possible.
