Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Kassala State managed to save 12 of the illegal migration victims including Ethiopian and Eritrean nationals in Al-Butana area during the attempt of human traffickers to send them to Libya.
The RSF managed to release 8 males and 4 females from the human traffickers and handed them to the police Anti-human trafficking investigation administration to take the appropriate action.
RSF Spokesperson, Brig. Jamal Juma’a Adam said in press statement that the released persons included Ethiopian and Eritrean nationals, adding that there are active human trafficking networks in Ethiopia.
It is to be noted that it is one of the RSF objectives is to curb human trafficking and prevent illegal migration through its continuous efforts along the borders.
