Sudanese/Turkish Talks Lead by Daglo and Oktay in Ankara

The official talks between Sudan and Turkey has started today, where the Sudanese side was led by the First Vice President of the Sovereign Council,  1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, while the Turkish Vice President, Fuat Oktay led the Turkish side.
The talks discussed boosting the bilateral relations and the means of promoting the joint cooperation in all aspects, besides the coordination in the regional and international issues.
The two sides discussed developing the relations in energy, oil, agriculture, animal wealth, roads and bridges, and transport.
FVP, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo emphasized  in the joint press conference the importance of the relations with Turkey, pointing out to the importance of activating the signed agreements between the two countries, adding that Sudan will be opened to all the world to achieve the national interest, calling on investors  all over the world, especially turkey, to invest in Sudan considering that the country is qualified to receive investors, pointing out to the great challenges on top of which the economy.
He pointed out to the challenges after the signature of the peace agreement and the ongoing endeavors to engage Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu in the peace process.
He affirmed Sudan’s steady stance on his rights in Al-Fashago lands, pointing out to the keenness of Sudan to resolve GERD crisis through reaching consensus agreement .
He stressed on the importance of implementing the agreements signed with Turkey for the benefit of the two countries , 
He said that he conducted bilateral talks with his Turkish counterpart, Fuat Oktay on the obstacles hindering the strong relations between the two countries, affirming reaching solutions to remove those obstacles.
For his part, Turkish Vice President, Fuad Oktay welcomed the Sudanese delegation led by `1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, affirming that the talks affirmed the desire to activate the joint cooperation, considering the visit as a start for reactivating the strong relations, affirming his country’s support to Sudan in the present stage, adding that they will exert all efforts to develop Sudan. He added that they decided to raise the trade exchange between the two countries to US$1 billion through investing in energy, oil, agriculture, and animal wealth.
He added that the trade and economic partnership will witness more development due to the strong will of the two countries to push forward the bilateral relations.
Oktay considered lifting Sudan from the States Sponsors of terrorism(SST)as a correct decision, affirming the readiness of his country to mediate on Al-Fashaga crisis, expressing fears from the consequences of GERD dispute on the African continent.
It is to be noted that the Sudanese delegation led by the FVP includes each of Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Al-Tahir Harbi, Energy and Oil Minister, Jadain Ali Obied, Animal Wealth Minister, Hafiz Ibrahim Abdulnabi, Minister of Transport, , Mirghani Musa Hamdan, Road and Bridges Minister, Abdallah Yahya and other officials.
