FVP Receives Qatari Deputy Premier

First Vice President (FVP) of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has received in his office at the Republican palace today (Monday), H.H. the Qatari Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in the  presence of Foreign Minister, Dr. Marian Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries  and the means of improving it.
The FVP expressed appreciation to the role of Qatar State for its continuous support to Sudan in the regional and international platforms, lauding the generous Qatari support to Sudan in developmental and humanitarian aspects besides boosting the peace process in Darfur.
The FVP added that the visit reflects the intention of Qatar to provide support to Sudan, affirming that Sudan has become qualified to receive foreign investments especially after the recent reforms in investment act, calling for the continuation of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all aspects.
He briefed the visiting official on the developments in Sudan, affirming the cohesion of all transitional period  parties to overcome the obstacles towards democratic transition.
For his part, the Qatar Deputy Premier, affirmed that his visit to Sudan comes
as continuation of the previous visits to boost the bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing the readiness of Qatar to support Sudan in order to overcome the present stage, adding that Doha ins ready to invest in Sudan, describing the relations between that two countries as in its best.
