FVP Reveals Endeavors to Improve National Human Rights’ Standards

First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council,1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has affirmed the keenness of the government in respecting and improving the national human rights’ standards.
He announced, while addressing the concluding session of the RSF on Human Rights Protection Training Course organized by Geneva Human Rights Institute , the endorsement of several legislations to cope with the UN standards, besides the approval of the agreement on protecting all people, Enforced disappearance and the Convention against Torture, and the endeavors to ratify other international conventions along with promoting the communal awareness on human rights.
He added that this training course expresses generally the approach of the government to protect human right
 He affirmed the government’s intensification of efforts on awareness of human rights and the international law amid the regular forces, besides its efforts to promote the convention against escaping from punishment, disclosing that tens were sentenced for their violating the rule of law.
Daglo lauded the efforts of the RSF and its coordination with other regular forces in respecting the human rights.
“It is high time for the international community to recognize the noble role of the , not only in protecting the homeland, but in other aspect including supporting the social, economic and cultural rights, besides providing support to the war-affected areas and preserving the social peace” he added
For his part, The Deputy President of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, Dr. Ali Bin Smaikh Al-Marri lauded the cooperation of the human rights related Sudanese institutions and mechanisms, adding that their visit to Sudan was fruitful through their contacts with the stakeholders and the civil society, affirming  the support of the Alliance to Sudan.
The concluding session was also addressed by executive Manager ofGeneva Institute for Human Rights (branch of Sudan), Nazar Abdul Gadir who lauded the efforts of the participants in making the workshop a success.

support to the efforts of the Sudanese government and civil society organizations to respect and promote human rights besides the establishment of the National Human Rights’ Commission
