FVP Meets Deputy President of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions

First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council received in his office at the Republican Palace today (Monday), the Deputy President of the Global Alliance of national Human Rights Institutions, . Ali Bin Smaikh Al-Mari.
Al-Mari affirmed in press statements, following the meeting with the FVP, the support of the Alliance to the efforts of the Sudanese government and civil society organizations in respecting the human rights and the formation of the National Human Rights Commission.
He lauded the efforts of the Sudanese government in boosting human rights in regard to the national protection mechanism, besides its joining several international agreements concerned with human rights protection.
Al-Mari pointed out that his visit to Sudan comes within the framework of supporting the partnership and boosting the cooperation between the Sudanese government and the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions to upgrade the protection of human rights and the formation of the national human rights commission.
