Kutum and Al-Waha localities in North Darfur State have received this evening Peace promotion Group led by member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Chief of Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), Dr. Al-Hadi Idris accompanied by some of the Juba Peace Agreement signatory armed struggle movements leaders.
Dr. Al-Hadi said, while addressing a mass rally that the armed struggle movements are working in harmony with the regular forces, pointing to the enormous benefit of peace to the citizens in Darfur states.
He added that Darfur community suffered a lot from th wars in the past, calling for abandoning the tribalism and work for strengthening stability and security.
He commended the efforts of the 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo in making Juba Peace Agreement a success.
On his part, the RSF (Peace Shield) commander , Brig. Al-Nour Al-Gaba lauded the role of thje leaders of the armed struggle movements in singing the peace agreement with the government and their keenness to resolve all the complicated issues especially the tribal reconciliations amid the components of the community.
