First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has met in Doha, the capital city of Qatar, the Qatari Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Ben Abdulrahman Al-Thani, in the presence of Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Omer Gamar Addeen, and Director of the General Intelligence Service, 1st Lt. Gen. Jamal Abdulhameed.
The meeting discussed the strategic relations between Sudan and Qatar and the means of pushing forward the horizons of joint cooperation.
The FVP expressed appreciation to the Qatari leadership for its supporting stances to Sudan in all aspects especially its efforts in achieving peace in Darfur.
On his part, Sudanese Foreign Minister, Omer Qamar Addeen said, in press statements, that the meeting talked the joint issues between the two countries, besides the situations in Sudan following December glorious revolution in Sudan, pointing out that the meeting also discussed the developments on borders issue with Ethiopia besides GERD and Sudan’s stance towards the two issues.
