The RSF Peace Shield battalion deployed to protect the civilians in Darfur States following the UNAMID exit, arrived in El-Fashir, the capital city of North Darfur State.
The RSF commander in North Darfur, Brig. Jido Hamdan Ahmed Abunshuk, affirmed in press statements, during his inspecting the force in Jago Jago area eastern of El-Fashir , that the RSF are ready to protect the civilians preserving security and stability in all Dafur states after the UNAMID exit, adding that the Peace Shield troops are well trained and provided with all means to enable it conduct its mission perfectly.
He pointed out that the idea came within the concerns of the First Vice President of the Sovereign Council, RSF Commander in Chief, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo in achieving peace and stability all over the country and Darfur in particular, adding that the troops will continue its deployment to El-Fashir after which it will be redeployed to other Darfur states to contribute in boosting security and stability.
