First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo received today in his office a delegation of Khartoum and River Nile State local administration.
The delegation complimented the signature of the peace agreement between the government and the armed struggle movements which pave the way for restoring stability and the repatriation of refugees and IDPs to their home villages.
On his part, the Jaalyeen Tribe Shura spokesperson, Hassan Bashir Kafoot said that the meeting discussed several issues on top of which is the peace agreement besides the status of the local administration within the proposed new act.
He affirmed that the Sudanese people, especially Jaalyeen tribe are aspiring the signature of the peace agreement to stop war, pointing out that peace project represents the most significant achievement of the revolution.
He added that the meeting also discussed the security situation and the status of the local administration to make it more effective in bringing about control, affirming that the FVP assured them that the new act is prepared by qualified experts to come out with an agreed upon legislation.
For his part, tribal chieftain Al-Montasir Khalid Al-Siddiq Talha of Bataheen said that the meeting discussed issue related to Khartoum State besides the local administration act, pointing out that the FVP affirmed his following up the preparation of drafting the act to come out with legislation that meets the aspiration of the local administration leaders.
