First Vice President (FVP) of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo received in his office at the Republic Palace today the delegation representing Eastern Sudan conflict settlement committee led by Chieftain Siddiq Adam Abdallah.
Chieftain Siddiq said, in press statement following their meeting with Daglo, that the meeting discussed the ongoing efforts to resolve Eastern Sudan issue, adding that the committee will continue its contacts with all the social components in eastern Sudan to settle those conflicts, expressing optimism regarding the success of their endeavors.
For his part, Chieftain Mohamed Ali Al-Nayer, Chief of Al-Amarna tribe in Sennar State, expressed his appreciation to the confidence put on the leaders of the local administrations by 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo to resolve the issue of eastern Sudan which requires wisdom to deal with it, adding that the committee will hold meetings with each of the President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan and Prime Minister, Dr. Abdallah Hamdok to discuss the means of resolving the issue of eastern Sudan.
For his part, Chieftain, Sisi Fadul Sisi, the Chief of Fur tribe, pointed out to the pioneering role of the local administrations in Sudan in resolving the tribal differences and conflicts, affirming that the committee will play a pivotal role in reaching a comprehensive settlement for eastern Sudan issue.
