Honourable guests
Let us first extend our congratulations to the Islamic nation on the occasion of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) birth who is the renovator of our lives, hoping that the celebration of his birthday renews our commitment towards the Islamic guidance which set the roadmap for our life.
I would also extend my appreciation to the organizers of this conference which come timely with our need to renovate our religious, political, intellectual and social lives.
My special appreciation to the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Mr. Nasr Addeen Mufarah and the Intellectual Immunization Care Research Centre for their great concern over the issues of renovation at this time when several fake guidance are widespread against Islam and Muslims despite the fact that Islam and Sunnah left nothing behind to argue on.
This conference comes when our country is heading towards a new era following the signature of the peace deal with our brothers in the armed struggle movements, and after removing Sudan from the States Sponsors Terrorism list.
We also appreciate all the efforts that contributed in overcoming this difficult stage. It is an opportunity to clarify that the Sudanese people are not terrorists, but tolerant and will remain respecting all religions and beliefs far from extremism.
Today’s world is witnessing a lot of challenges represented in family and society issues besides the relation between the religion and the State along with the challenges of women, children, hate speech, political extremism, tribal conflicts and other issues that represent a challenge to our Islamic nation and to us in Sudan.
Obviously those issue require serious and deep discussion to determine the problems, hence initiating the solutions that cope with the era without touching the constants of our belief.
It is a great task to be dealt with by our religion and educational institutions.
I call on our Islamic intellects to deal with the guidance address and to confront the extremism .
We aspire to renovation in our deals and in our social coexistence. We need to respect our intellectual differences. We need to renew our foreign relations. We need to boost our national values, and to respect our ethnic diversity.
Let us hope that this conference comes out with real and serious recommendations that boost the moderately, dialogue culture and confronting all types of terrorism and extremism.
We again extend our appreciation to the supreme committee which arranged for this conference.
We also thank the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, the honourable guests from all the countries who attended this conference.
We thank the Islamic intellects who are shouldering a great responsibility in providing our nation with rational guidance.
