The Rapid Support Forces hereby verify and affirm the substance of the statement issued by the Saudi-American mediation team pertaining to the effective implementation of a 24-hour ceasefire on June 10, 2023. This ceasefire bore significant importance in expediting the distribution of essential humanitarian assistance to the populace.

The Rapid Support Forces firmly affirm their unwavering dedication to upholding the principles enshrined in the Jeddah Declaration, which is designed to safeguard the well-being of civilians. We place strong emphasis on unwavering compliance with human rights laws and international humanitarian law, underscoring our preparedness to actively participate in dialogues that seek to establish lasting stability for our citizens.

We share the same disappointment as the mediation team regarding the resumption of hostilities. It is important to note that the Al-Burhan coup militia exploited the ceasefire to their advantage by mobilizing forces from different regions and launching an attack on our forces shortly after the armistice ended. As a result, our only option was to defend ourselves and repel the insurgents on all fronts

As we renew our dedication to the Jeddah platform, we express our support for the participation of civilians in the talks and our willingness to collaborate with them in shaping the future of our country. This firm stance has consistently been our advocacy and support, even in the face of the remnants of the defunct regime's coup, which left us with no choice but to engage in the current war that we are compelled to wage.
