MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemns the Sudanese Armed Forces' (SAF) brutal air raids on the civilian population, residential areas, and critical infrastructure.

Orchestrated by members of the regime of former dictator Omar al-Bashir, these attacks have led to the tragic loss of innocent lives and grave damage to buildings and public areas.

We urge the SAF not to target defenseless civilians. We remain unyielding in our mission to protect and serve the people.

The RSF is committed to democracy, human rights, and the establishment of a civilian-led government. Our support for the recently signed Jeddah Declaration is unwavering. This landmark agreement aims to alleviate the challenging humanitarian conditions presently facing the people of Sudan.

Although we anticipate that the SAF might disregard their commitments under this agreement, we are dedicated to safeguarding the people's access to food and medicine and allowing for their safe movement. The RSF is devoted to the democratic principles and values of the 2019 December revolution.

We are committed to working hand-in-hand with the international community and civil society to find a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
