RSF opens another branch of Human Rights Unit in West Darfur

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has managed to open a branch of Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law Unit in Headquarter of the RSF in Genina city, capital of west Darfur state.
West Darfur sector Commander, General Abdul-Rahman Jumma Barak Allah stressed his support for the unit to carry out their roles, adding that great attention will be paid to the unit as directed by the Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, RSF Commander, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo.
Meanwhile, the Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law Unit Executive Director, Dr. Hasib Johnthan Hamad congratulated the RSF west Darfur, other organizations working in the field of human rights, international humanitarian law, partners of United Nations, the African Union, the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The Unit strategy looks forward to making partnership between United Nations Organizations, United Nations as directed by the RSF Commander.
Johnthan said that this is a great achievement regionally, and internationally, aiming at promoting, and protecting human rights, adhere to international humanitarian law.
Meanwhile, regional Department Director, Brigadier Tariq Awad Abdul-Rahman stated that the Unit is the second unit, indicating that its duties is to implement the unit activities, follow up the implementation of principles of conduct, rules of engagement, as well as establishing partnerships, coordinate with other counterpart agencies in the state.
