The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) concluded its tour in River Nile State by visiting Al-Bawga area within its campaign to provide assistance to the floods-affected citizens.
The convoy arrived in the area via a ferry. The commander of the convoy, Colonel Mohamed Al-Hassan said that their visit to the area comes within their duty and the oath of allegiance to protect the nation and the people, pointing out that the visit comes in respond to the directives of the 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, commander in Chief of the RSF, 1stLt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.
On his part, the executive director of Al-Bawga locality, Mohamed Ali Idris said upon receiving the convoy that the arrival of the RSF to the area is not strange as they are used to such initiatives and quick respond, affirming that the assistance and the materials provided will be distributed to those who deserve in the area through the committees formed for this purpose.
He revealed sinking of islands in the area such as Al-Hugna, Ouli, Mustariha, Mowarb, Al-Ridai and Aby meraikh, besides the total collapse of 387 houses and partial collapse of 400 houses.
