The Government of West Kordofan has received the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Humanitarian Aid Convoy for the floods and torrential rains affected people in the state.
The convoy was received by the State Secretary General, Regular Forces Leaders, Representative of Native Administrations and Community figures.
The State Secretary General, Hassan Musa expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the transitional sovereignty council vice president, RSF commander, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo for his support to help local population, stating that the humanitarian aid convoy has significantly contributed to help the affected people in “Sitait, Fama, Idhaya,
Moglad, Kilak” areas.
In turn, the State Security Chairman, Flood-Rains Emergencies Committee Chairman General Ehab Abd Al-Mageed revealed that many of local people have lost their houses and properties in different localities, indicating that the affected people need any kind of relief, he also praised the transitional sovereignty council vice president for his generous humanitarian aids to the most of Sudan’s states.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid, Mohammed Yousif stated that nine thousands of local population were affected, one death case, as well as various damages of government entities in different localities, he lauded the RSF humanitarian work, social responsibility towards local communities.
