Blue Nile Governor Ahmed Al-Ommda has received a humanitarian convoy from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for the population affected by the recent incidents in Blue Nile State.
The convoy was set under the direct instruction of Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
The receipt of the convoy was supervised by the RSF East Sector Command.
State Police Director, General Mohammed Salah, Health Minister Gamal Nasir, Social Welfare Minister Omer Al-Shimi, and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Saddig Saad also attended.
The governor of Blue Nile State praised the efforts of the RSF East Sector Command to contain the recent incidents and for its continuing support for rule of law and improving the security situation in Sudan.
He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the vice president and called upon all stakeholders to think rationally and renounce acts of violence.
In turn, RSF Blue Nile Sector Commander, Lieutant Colonel Abdul-Rahman Humeida Al-Bishi said the situation in the region demands wisdom and careful analysis to overcome the crisis. He also called on all disputing parties to think rationally and live together in peace.
