Commander of RSF (Central Darfur Sector) participates in JEM Celebrations on Peace Agreement Signature

Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) – Central Darfur Sector – Brig. Ali Yagoub Jibril called on all the community components in the state to apply the slogan of the revolution i.e. Freedom, Peace and Justice in order to achieve the goals of December glorious revolution, adding that the social peace is considered an essential pillar towards development.
He added, while addressing the ceremony organized by Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) in Central Darfur on the occasion of the signature of the peace agreement signed last week between the government and the armed struggle movements in Juba, that the citizens of Darfur  and other conflict areas suffered a lot from the bitterness of wars and are now in bad need to comprehensive peace that stops the bloodshed.
Jibril affirmed that the current atmosphere is conducive to achieve political and economic gains  that serve the national interests, pointing out that the joining of JEM and other armed struggle movements to the peace process is considered a qualitative shift in the course of the political process in the country.
Brig. Jibril urged JEM under the leadership of Abdulwahid Nour, and SPLM-N under the leadership of Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu to expedite their joining the peace process to achieve the aspiration of the Sudanese citizens.
