The Tripartite Military Committee (TMC), chaired by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, and his fellow council members, General Shams-Eddin Kabbashi and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, have met at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Molly Phee and accompanying delegations.
The meeting was also attended by Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hussan bin Gafar.
The meeting participants discussed the most recent arrangements for the Sudanese direct dialogue process, which is implemented by the UN, African Union and IGAD trilateral mechanism.
The next session of the trilateral mechanism is scheduled for Wednesday.
The committee stressed its support for the mechanism and its role in facilitating dialogue between all Sudanese stakeholders.
In a press statement, Sudanese Foreign Ministry North American Department Director, Ambassador Kamal Bashier noted that numerous issues were discussed at the meeting, including the key role that the trilateral mechanism plays in facilitating dialogue.
