Transitional Sovereignty Council VP meets with UNITAMS, AU, IGAD envoys

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo received in his office on Tuesday the tripartite mechanism, including UNITAMS Chairman Volker Perthes, African Union Envoy, Professor Mohammed Hassan Wad Labat and Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Envoy Ismail Wais.
The meeting addressed developments in the country and efforts to facilitate dialogue between all Sudanese stakeholders.
Dagalo was briefed on the tripartite mechanism’s work during the most recent period.
The vice president underscored his support for dialogue as the central strategy for achieving inclusive reconciliation among all Sudanese, as the country gears up for elections at the end of the transitional period.
