MEDIA STATEMENT

In a new massacre, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) militia and their allied Islamic Movement  terrorists launched a deadly airstrikes in the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state. The indiscriminate attack has claimed the lives of dozens of civilians, including women and children, besides hundreds wounded. The horrific scenes of charred corpses underscore the brutal and indiscriminate nature of the attack.

The bombardment of the city, carried out by the  SAF militia formed off the remenants  of the toppled regime  is a brutal crime against civilians. On Sunday attacks, the y used barrel bombs to target several areas and residential neighborhoods in Nyala. The aireal strike transformed the city into a tragic, bloody scene.

The bombing of innocent civilians with barrel bombs is a heinous crime. It  reflects the ruthless nature of this group and its long history of killing and devastating the Sudanese people. These actions reveal their malicious intent to systematically target and exterminate entire populations based on ethnic and regional identities.

The bombardment of civilians with barrel bombs and internationally banned weapons necessitate immediate condemnation, as well as to launch a thorough investigation by all international, regional, and local bodies responsible for human rights, genocide, and crimes against humanity.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are more determined than ever to end the tyranny of this failed gang over our citizens and our country. Together, we will rid ourselves of the criminals and terrorists once and for all, and build a Sudan founded on justice and equality. This new Sudan will lift the oppression and marginalization from all the Sudanese people.
