The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its extremist minders from the terrorist Islamic Movement have once again violated international law by targeting innocent civilians.

Earlier today, these forces launched attacks that further tarnished their already notorious record of human rights abuses.

The SAF and its extremist allies from the former regime conducted airstrikes on densely populated areas in eastern Darfur, specifically targeting the city of Al-Da’ein.

These brutal and indiscriminate airstrikes led to the destruction of critical infrastructure, including Al-Da’ein's teaching hospital, a police station, and a primary school. Residential neighborhoods in the area of al-Tiwaisha in North Darfur State were also bombed by air, resulting in the deaths of entire families and significant damage to homes in Al-Hasahissa in Gezira State.

These attacks led to numerous civilian casualties, including many women and children. The number of the dead and injured is still being counted.

The SAF airstrikes also deliberately targeted a kidney dialysis center and the women's and maternity ward at Al-Da’ein Hospital. A cooling unit for children's vaccination supplies was similarly destroyed, and several residential buildings suffered extensive damage.

These targeted assaults reflect a deliberate strategy by the SAF and its jihadist allies from the Islamic Movement to engage in direct, constant, and violent confrontation with the Sudanese people. Their actions demonstrate a reckless disregard for human life and a commitment to a scorched-earth policy that threatens the stability of our country and the region.

History will not forget the crimes of these horrific, hate-driven animals.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemns these atrocious war crimes. We remain steadfastly determined in our fight against the terror-driven former regime.

The RSF is committed to dismantling this band of criminals once and for all – and to building a future for Sudan marked by civilian-led democratic rule and a unified professional national army dedicated solely to protecting our country and its citizens.
