The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its extremist backers from the former regime bombed the Gaili Oil Refinery today using barrel bombs, completely destroying it. This act seems to be an attempt to compensate for their repeated defeats across our country.
The destruction of the Gaili Oil Refinery is a blatant act of terrorism that violates international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. It reveals the deep frustration and despair of the terrorist militias operating under the banner of the SAF.
The SAF and its terror-driven minders from the former regime wrongly believed that destroying the refinery would help them evade our forces. However, they must understand that they cannot undermine the resolve and courage of our valiant soldiers, who continue to achieve impressive victories on the battlefield.
We condemn this cowardly act and urge the local and international community to classify the SAF and its extremist allies from the National Congress Party as a terrorist group. Their existence poses a serious threat to the security and stability of Sudan, the region, and the entire world.
These desperate acts will only strengthen our resolve to liberate our people from this oppressive criminal gang and rebuild Sudan on new foundations that eradicate injustice and marginalization, ensuring peace, justice, and equality for all Sudanese people.
