The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemns the aerial bombings conducted early Monday morning by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied terrorist brigades in El Fasher and Kutum, North Darfur. This indiscriminate assault using barrel bombs claimed nine lives and injured 14 people, including children.
The bombings specifically targeted the neighborhoods of Al-Wefaq in the northern sector of El Fasher, as well as factories and areas east of Wihda, causing extensive destruction. Twelve homes were razed to the ground. The assault persisted from two until three in the morning, after which the aggressors redirected their assault toward residents in the city of Kutum, unleashing similar havoc.
The recent attacks in North Darfur by the SAF and its jihadist allies, seeking to misuse humanitarian aid to further their military aims, represent a broader trend in this war. The RSF opposes the use of humanitarian aid as a tool of war and will not permit the flow of arms and disinformation.
We condemn the intentional targeting of innocent civilians and call upon the international community and human rights organizations to reject these crimes against humanity. The indiscriminate use of barrel bombs against civilians by the SAF is inhumane and intolerable.
The RSF is committed to combating forces that threaten our nation with injustice and corruption, striving to achieve freedom, peace, and justice for our people.
