The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) negotiating delegation, led by Brigadier General Omar Hamdan, together with the delegation's officail spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Mukhtar, convened a high-level meeting with Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Sudan Ramtane Lamamra. The session focused on critical developments in the country and the worsening humanitarian crisis gripping the nation.
During the discussions, the RSF delegation presented a comprehensive report detailing widespread human rights violations affecting civilians. They drew attention to the significant loss of life and suffering caused by indiscriminate airstrikes conducted by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), now dominated by terrorist factions linked to the former regime. The delegation unequivocally condemned the international community’s failure to address atrocities committed by battalions associated with extremist groups and mercenaries from allied armed factions.
The delegation further expressed grave concern over systemic racial and regional discrimination, citing practices by the so-called "Port Sudan gang," comprising the co-opted SAF leadership, their brethren from the former regime, and their patrons from the terrorist Islamic Movement. They accused these actors of denying citizens access to critical identity documentation and enforcing discriminatory legislation such as the "Law of Strange Faces." The delegation also reported deliberate acts of infrastructure sabotage, including the destruction of the Jabal Awlia Dam, which has intensified flooding and exacerbated hardships for residents in White Nile State.
In their address, the RSF representatives underscored the urgent need for decisive UN action to mitigate civilian suffering. They called for expanded support from humanitarian organizations and emphasized the importance of holding perpetrators of violence and discrimination accountable. The delegation also appealed for a unified international response to address the escalating crisis and alleviate the suffering of Sudan's most vulnerable populations.
