I had the privilege of meeting yesterday with Prime Minister Abdulhamid AlDabaiba
, the head of the Government of National Unity in Libya, our neighboring country. Our discussions were productive and insightful, focusing on the current developments in Sudan amid the ongoing conflict.

I provided the prime minister with a comprehensive briefing on the reasons behind this crisis and the parties that are actively seeking to escalate and prolong it. Furthermore, I outlined our vision for ending the hostilities, establishing peace and stability, alleviating the suffering of our people, and laying the foundations for a new and just Sudan.

I also updated him on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, highlighting the challenging conditions faced by the Sudanese people due to the obstruction of humanitarian aid by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its extremist backers linked to the former regime. This has resulted in famine in certain areas, underscoring the urgent need for intervention through innovative mechanisms and methods to reach those in dire need.

We are deeply grateful to Prime Minister AlDabaiba for his understanding and support regarding the Sudanese crisis, our stance, and our vision for the future. We also extend our appreciation to the Libyan people and government for the hospitality they have shown toward their Sudanese brothers during this challenging time for our nation.
