Emboldened by an influx of reinforcements from foreign invaders, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) unleashed a horrifying and indiscriminate assault on innocent civilians this afternoon. Through relentless airstrikes, they desecrated the sacred Sheikh Ahmed Mosque in the Shambat neighborhood of Khartoum Bahri and turned the bustling Al-Gash Market in western Omdurman into a site of devastation. These barbaric attacks claimed the lives of dozens, including women and children, leaving a trail of burned bodies, shattered families, and a community steeped in grief. What once stood as pillars of faith and livelihood are now reduced to ruins and sorrow.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) unequivocally condemns these heinous crimes, which exemplify the SAF’s escalating campaign of terror and brutality. The deliberate targeting of worshippers at a mosque and innocent civilians in densely populated urban centers defies not only the principles of humanity but also every tenet of international law. These vile actions stand as glaring violations of the Geneva Conventions and are a stark affront to moral and spiritual sanctities.

The desecration of holy sites, the targeting of women and children, and the calculated massacre of innocent civilians expose the SAF’s callous disregard for human life and its agenda of instilling fear and chaos. These atrocities bear the unmistakable imprint of a systematic strategy of oppression and genocide, orchestrated by extremist elements within its ranks.

The RSF calls on the international community, human rights organizations, and all advocates of justice and human dignity to break their silence and unequivocally condemn these crimes. Turning a blind eye to such blatant atrocities is an act of complicity. Justice demands not only condemnation but swift and decisive action to hold the perpetrators accountable.

The RSF reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the people of Sudan and to the principles of justice, peace, and unity. We stand resolute in our mission to end this reign of terror and liberate Sudan from the grip of tyranny of the former regime and their patrons from the terrorist Islamic Movement. The RSF vows to the Sudanese people to build a professional, unified national army grounded in respect for human dignity, inclusivity, and the rule of law.

To the courageous citizens of our beloved country – our struggle continues, unshaken and unyielding. We will not rest until these atrocities are exposed to the world, the criminals brought to justice, and Sudan stands as a free, peaceful, and united nation. Together, we will prevail.
